Pachamanca

In Peru, it's all about the pachamanca, which means "earth oven".  For the schools' end of the year party, we celebrated with this traditional Peruvian feast.  It's a celebration of the earth, where the food that comes from the earth is also cooked within the earth.  It was a super cool experience and the food was quite tasty.  Similar to a clambake or a crawfish boil, it's an all afternoon affair.
